The Rotation is a genre-blending trio born out of Edward Waters University, where music met motion on the volleyball court. Made up of KW4D (singer from Chicago), J.OBIE (rapper/singer from Orlando), and Danielll (rapper from the Dominican Republic), the group originally connected as teammates on the university’s inaugural men’s volleyball team — forging a bond that would soon extend beyond athletics and into music.
Just like players rotating positions on the volleyball court, The Rotation shifts seamlessly between styles. Each member brings a distinct energy and flavor, but together they create a unified sound, delivering smooth vocals and sharp bars in both English and Spanish. Their debut project Free Life captures the essence of young love, dreaming boldly, and living your best life, while bringing a feeling of early 2000s nostalgia with a modern twist. Fueled by vibrant expression and an unmistakable presence, The Rotation is more than a group. It’s a movement in motion.

Please Note: This is an open mic for artists performing their ORIGINAL material over a recorded track (no covers or instruments plz - Youtube instrumentals are permitted). Bring your music on a playable device or email it to hushhushlivemusic@gmail.com.
$10 entry includes headphones 🎧, voting ballot 🎟️, + one drink ticket 🍹(N/A options available).
